NLP

"One day you look back at this problem and smile... so why wait?"

(-Richard Bandler-)

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) was developed in the 1970s by Richard Bandler, a mathematician and computer scientist, and John Grinder, a linguist. Their collaboration originally began with observing successful psychotherapists such as Milton Erickson (hypnotherapy) and Fritz Perls (Gestalt therapy) and analyzing their working methods.

Bandler and Grinder were interested in finding out how these therapists communicated effectively with their clients and effected change. They wanted to understand the underlying principles and techniques and convey them to other people.

Through their observations and analysis, Bandler and Grinder gradually developed the Neuro-Linguistic Programming model. They combined findings from different fields such as neurology, linguistics, psychology and computer science. The model included principles and techniques to understand the connections between thought, language and behavior and to bring about positive change.

Bandler and Grinder published a series of books presenting their ideas and methods. As a result, NLP first spread in the field of psychotherapy. However, over time, NLP has expanded to various application areas such as coaching, sales, leadership development and personal growth.

Application areas:

  1. Psychotherapy and Counseling: NLP can be used as a complementary method in psychotherapy to support behavior change, coping with fear, trauma or phobias, and improving communication and relationships.

  2. Coaching and personal growth: NLP is often used in coaching to define individual goals, overcome personal obstacles and promote personal development. It can also help develop mental strategies and activate resources.

  3. Communication and interpersonal relationships: NLP offers techniques to improve communication, listening and interpersonal relationships. It can help develop more effective communication patterns, resolve conflicts, and minimize misunderstandings

Cost: 80 EUR per hour

Depending on the topic to be worked on, I assume 3-8 hours. In a free preliminary talk, we can define this.

Note: It is important to note that NLP as an approach is controversial in some scientific circles and does not conform to the scientific standards that apply to mainstream psychological approaches.
